Excellent fish and chips. The batter was crisp all around, not just on the top, and the chips were a decent size and not soggy. The order was ready exactly on time for collection. This has become a firm favourite.

I Can’t really give a review on the food as I Placed an order for delivery and when it it did not arrive, I rang the shop and were told they had forgotten to make it! Even though the app had informed us that the order was confirmed and was out for delivery. So one star for service.

Durham Lane Fisheries did alright. What I was not happy with, was that by trying to place an order on line, I was dealing with “feedmeonline” which was not requested, was given a time that my order was ready to collect yet I had not been asked what time I required the order. I also found that I was charged 80p for placing the order on line. I will not dealing with feedmeonline. again. I will deal directly with Durham Lane Fisheries.

Good things first.... Order delivered quickly and courteously Food was hot Bad things now..... Order not complete, phone number didn't work so had to use FB, they had to deliver forgotten product later Very runny mushy peas Food greasy Large fish seemed to have been halved, it was very slim, less than an inch thick - or it could have been flattened First time ordering from here after reading the good reviews. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be ordering from here again the food was at best average.
